While kayaking down the Kishwaukee river in Northern Illinois Emily Lefavour-Stowe came across what appeared to be a footprint of a Bigfoot. Here is her story of this event:
I was kayaking along the Kishwaukee river in Northern Illinois near the I-39 Bridge. The right image (second image) I cropped and enhanced and saturated and the left (first image) is the original. I never said it’s definitely a sasquatch print. I am only asking for other perspectives.
The reason I had to back pedal in my kayak is because the little sand bar this print was on is usually underwater, however we hadn’t had rain in some time that month therefore it was visible. The sandbar was no more than maybe 4 feet in width. At which point it turned back into shallow water then nothing but very, very thick vegetation. I did not do this and hardly anyone is ever on that section of the river let alone when the water is low. To think someone made a point to do this is unlikely. The reason this is of great significance to me is because back in 1994 was the year I encountered our hairy friend about 7 miles from where this print was located. It wasn’t until I did a little digging and the only reported sighting in Winnebago county Illinois was made the same year 1994 and in this same area. I was only 10 back then. The report was made a few months after my encounter in this very same location. I have the article. I agree. It looks like it is too perfectly carved and could very easily be fake. The picture however does not show the other print except in the unedited version and is not very noticeable. All I’m saying is I did not make this. I don’t know if it’s our friend or not. This area is highly forested and has very low river traffic. I am just genuinely hoping for anyone to give me their insight with kindness. I did not do this. If anyone here is familiar with this area in Winnebago county Illinois, I’m sure they will agree with the information of the river and location I have given. I was only 10 so when I discovered the report made the same year, then find this over 20 Years later within a mile radius of the report made I cannot help but think this is legit. Please be kind. I am a full-on believer based on a personal witness which is what led me to become as obsessed as I am. I’m just looking for others insight. Nothing cruel. I know that’s to be expected because this is the internet, but hopefully this time I’ll receive more positive than negative.
Thank-you for any insight. Your fellow squatcher…
Looks like a very interesting print, clear and defined. I am still trying to get more information on this. What are your thoughts? Leave comments below, thanks.
