It’s hard to say exactly how many people know someone who claims to have seen Bigfoot or Sasquatch, as there isn’t a comprehensive survey on this topic. However, the Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO) has documented over 3,500 sightings in the contiguous United States alone since the mid-1800s.
Given the widespread interest in Bigfoot and the number of reported sightings, it’s likely that a significant number of people know someone who claims to have seen one.
