Name of nearest TOWN: Pembroke Name of nearest ROAD: 4th Range Road Weather CONDITIONS: Warm summer evening The ENCOUNTER:

A friend and myself were sitting outside on my porch with tiki lights lit up that surrounded the porch. We heard what sounded like something being hit against a tree behind my shed area. We wrote it off as a deer maybe scratching its antlers on a tree. We kept hearing it happen every few mins, to point it was apparent it was three hits at a time. We could hear something crunching sticks moving through the woods to the right of where we were hearing the knocks. We thought it was moving along but the knocks kept happening even though we could hear something walking..well we decided we had enough and started yelling out to “get out of here” thinking if it was animal it would run off. Silence happened but we didnt hear anything try to run off so we kept hollering out. Well from back across the yard on opposite side of my tree line all the sudden we heard thumps so loud on the ground coming towards us that it shook the entire ground. You could hear it sounded like a very very heavy animal but it also was clear it was on two feet. I have been chased by a moose in the woods and that’s the only other animal heavy enough around here to make the ground shake but moose gave a distinct gallup sound when they charge. The bigfoot cleared my yard in about three-four steps until he was in the light of my torches and we ran off inside. We slammed the door and both fell to our knees crying and holding eachother. I have never believed or had even a thought bigfoot was real before all this, to be honest we didn’t even know what we had just experienced or saw. We literally thought we had just seen a monster like a werewolf, and it wasn’t until several years later where I came across a show that said bigfoots knock etc. That’s when I put two and two together. He must of had six foot strides because I have a good size backyard and he nearly reached us with just a few steps. After what I encountered I think they knock when they think they are trapped or endanger and need another to come help. I believe the one knocking was a young one and the one I could hear moving was either another young one or a mother. The one that charged us had to be a male, it was huge and it’s legs I’ve never seen such a thing in my life, that’s the first thing we saw because we were expecting to see animal height and saw the legs come into view from the torches first.
Since that encounter I have had my house hit by them walking by. I hear howling late at night but it sounds more like long yells “eeeeyowwwww”. My entire tree line looks like the Blair witch project, I’ve had trees pushed over while I was outside.
