It is owned and curated by Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot researcher Cliff Barackman. The museum features exhibits, artifacts, evidence, and interactive display related to the legendary creature. Mount Hood National Forest
Stop: 4 hours –
There are 5 stops total including the North American Bigfoot Center. When departing the NABC in our own vehicles the tourist will be lead to the first stop. The majority of the route is also known as the Oregon Bigfoot Highway because there have been so many Bigfoot sightings along the highway. The 2nd stop (1st being NABC) is a scenic area where we can explore a little and hike along the Clackamas river for up to 1 mile (depending on trail conditions and group abilities). At stop 3 we will arrive at a scenic area along the river. I have something to show you here. It’s only a short walk along the river. It’s Bigfoot related. Stop 4 is Alder Flat Trailhead. This is a scenic area that was badly burned in 2020 wildfires. There’s a 1.2 mile hike to a beautiful area next to the river. The area has agates, crystals, wildlife, and whitewater rapids we can view. Stop 5 is NFD 63. At this scenic area the Collawash River meets the Clackamas. There is great mud here for plastering.
After all the sight seeing and hiking is done we will we will head to NFD 63 at the mouth of the Collawash River where it meets the Clackamas River. This area has great mud for the plastering. After the plasters are dry we will cover them in provided trays and head back. The tour ends here.
